OISCA's Memorial Tree Planting
On April 1, 2003, volunteer children planted trees in Ranong, Thailand;
Alashan, Inner Mongolia; Tenom, Malaysia; and Negros, Philippines
to commemorate the start of the Rhythm Forest project. The photos
shows tree planting in Thailand and also in Upper Mongolia.

Actor Hidekazu Akai on test playing Rhythm Forest
On March 19, 2003, Hidekazu Akai, the Ambassador to the "Children's
Forest Program", tried Rhythm Forest.
Mr. Akai's play log is saved on the game server as "hidekazu-a",
so you can have a session with him in the Rhythm Forest space anytime!
Mr. Akai sent us a warm message to the children as well as the REf
project.

What is an "Afforestation
System"?
Connecting the real and virtual worlds, it is the world's first "Afforestation
Network Game System" and endeavors to expand the use of the "Rhythm
Forest" music community game.
We have named it the "REf Project".
With our mission for a better future at the core, this project marked
the launch of a new trial collaborative IT effort between a company
and an international NGO.
This project is the first step of a new financial system that cultivates
the earth's future.
International NGO OISCA, active in the international community for
over 40 years
Portions of the participation fees will be provided
through Photon to international NGO OISCA to fund their afforestation
efforts. Until the user cancels the registration, the fees will be
applied to the costs of planting one tree per month by the Children's
Forest Program, a program with over 2600 children participating in
24 countries.

Photon, promoting
"games with no fighting or killing"
Photon strives to create games for children with no violence. It was
founded in August 2001 with funding from "Hikari Angels",
a joint investment group whose members advocate the "games with
no fighting or killing" concept. The collaborative project was
realized because the Hikari Angels leader was also leader for an overseas
agricultural development program.
